I went to Cape Cod to see my second mother, my Aunt Ruthie and my childhood friend Chere. We were neighbors in Levittown, Long Island many many years ago. Chere and I became fast friends even though she is older than me (by five weeks, it's a running joke). Ruth, quickly became my second mother. She made the best tuna fish sandwiches! It was so good to see them both!
Saturday, after visiting Ruth, Chere and I went into a local quilt store and met a lovely lady, Diane, who said that her quilting group was on Cape Cod for a quilting weekend.
The lovely lady in the center in white (next to quilter John) owns the Country Heart Quilters in Plymouth, New Hampshire. They bought some of my hand-painted fabric and Loretta, the owner ordered some fabric and patterns. We'll talk about me teaching a class there this summer and what fun it would be with this group!!
Candy (center) bought a 2 yard piece to make a jacket and promises me a picture. I hope she's wearing it when I see her next! OK, Candy now you have to do it! *grin*
Quilters are special people, and I'm really glad that I got to meet this group. Thanks, Ladies, for making it a grand Sunday for me!
