I painted another 10 yards today! Teapots & cups...silly, but lots of fun to paint! a teapot need some cups and saucers... and on pink for a tea party... and just for the fun of drawing them... Flowers for the table? Yellow and turquoise Or yellow and vermillion?
Hum... maybe tomorrow I should paint some tea sandwiches and cookies to go with it!
I'm going to be vending my hand-painted fabric at the Bayberry Quilt Show on Cape Cod at the end of this month. It's a three day show so I need to have "more than enough" fabric in the booth. So I've set a goal of painting 100 yards of fabric to fill out what I have. It's 10 yards a day for 10 days and two days to iron/heat set and pack. It will be close but maybe I can pack in a few extra on the weekend. I thought if I posted pictures it would give me an extra nudge.
Here's some fabric that was started the other day... (see July 10th for where it started).
Some softer colors with a splash of orange. Riffing with purples and some screens. There will be more tomorrow!
I'm taking a few minutes break, waiting for some fabric to dry. Here a bit of the batch. The is the first step in a blue-green, cobalt, and yellow mix. The material is partially wet with splashes of water then scrunched up and dabbed with color. Then it gets spread out to dry. Home made stamps add a bit of movement.
Varitites are endless! And I want to do all of them! The biggest question for today is what colors to play with today??!!
It was a GREAT Mad Tea Party! Thank you Vanessa for starting this! I totally enjoyed making the party and visiting everyone else's on line. I'm not quite though the list but I'll make it over the weekend. And I'm still getting comments on mine - forty so far, can you believe it! We bloggers live for comments! And cupcakes...
Well, the cats have washed the crumbs off their faces and we have washed out the tea cups but we're still talking about it and already making plans for next year!
If you have left a comment and I haven't answered you yet, I'll get there. I'm running a bit like the white rabbit...just a tiny bit late!
