It was quite a week. Phil's mom, who broke her femur, is doing better. And so is our dear Katie cat who, for a while last week I thought I was going to lose. But with some antibiotics and some subcutaneous fluids she's perked up and is eating again. Phil has an infection in his finger that requires soaking and antibiotics. The rain storm took our chimney cap off and torn out the damper/flu along with it. And the heater broke in my car. But...Saturday was 70 degrees and the sun was shining.
Even the squirrels were enjoying it. He was warming up his tummy on the deck and enjoying his sunflower seed bounty.
I did a bit of free motion quilting on the first of the pear (place) mats. There are five others and each one is painted a bit different and will have different quilting - a good chance to practice. There is also a bit of slow-quilting in the works as well, more on that tomorrow.
Katie napping on the "Yankee Blankee." Dreaming of opening day?
